Beginning Western Lessons
Learn the basics of horse care, grooming, and safety. Learn correct seat position, what to do with your legs and hands, balance, and technique. Learn how to progress through the natural gaits of the horse Western style, moving through the walk, jog, and lope at your own individualized pace. Learn how to stop, turn, and back up using cues. Learn appropriate communication techniques between horse and rider. Build confidence while learning in a safe and positive environment.
Attire : blue jeans, comfortable shirt, closed toe shoe with heel, work gloves (not mandatory, but suggested), and helmet (mandatory - we will provide one if you do not have one)

Beginning Western Show
Learn all of the above as it pertains to the show arena. Perfect your technique, get help with dressing for success in the arena, and picking out the right tack to catch the judges' eyes. Learn advanced grooming techniques to show off your horse at his best. Have help from your trainer preparing for your competition as well as assistance at the show.
Beginning English Lessons

Learn appropriate communication techniques between horse and rider. Build confidence while learning in a safe and positive environment.
Attire : English riding pants (preferred) or form fitting pants, comfortable shirt, tall English riding boots or short boots with 1/2 chaps, work gloves (not mandatory, but suggested), and helmet (mandatory - we will provide one if you do not have one)

Beginning English Show

Beginning Trail Lessons
Learn the basics of horse care, grooming, and safety. Learn correct seat position, what to do with your legs and hands, balance, and technique. Learn how to progress through the natural gaits of the horse Western style, moving through the walk, jog, and lope at your own individualized pace. Learn how to stop, turn, and back up using cues. Learn appropriate communication techniques between horse and rider. Build confidence while learning in a secure environment before moving on to actual local trails. Learn how to cross bridges and water, how to deal with things you will encounter on the urban trail (joggers, dogs, strollers, bicycles, skate boarders, roller bladers, sprinklers, cars, traffic signals, crossing streets, and riding on pavement vs dirt), and how to deal with things you will encounter on the rural or mountain trail (mountain bikers, bears, mountain lions, prairie dogs, coyotes, inclement weather, and overnight adventures). Learn basic equine first aid and the necessary items you should always carry with you, as well as trail safety and etiquette. Learn what the Colorado equestrian laws are and your rights as a rider, and how that affects you when riding on public streets, land, and parks.
